Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a Visitor Centre Assistant, to support existing activity at one of our key Gateway sites.
This role will be based at our Potteric Carr Visitor Centre in Doncaster. The site currently attracts over 40000 visitors every year and the postholder and you will play a key role in welcoming visitors to the site. The role will also include talking people through the key highlights of the site, explaining and promoting the benefits of being a Trust supporter and in facilitating good sales within the Visitor Centre.
As a key member of the team, you will be working alongside colleagues to provide a friendly and welcome face to the reserve as well as helping to sell a wide range of nature based gifts to our visitors. You will also help out in the Centre’s café at certain times.
Good customer service skills will be essential alongside a flexible approach to working in a busy Visitor Centre, experience of working in a retail or catering setting would be an advantage.
