Please note that this position is subject to an Enhanced DBS and security clearance. Full time 37.5 hours per week with a varied working pattern. We would consider part-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing high quality teaching in non-accredited introductory theory and practice to adult learners in a secure setting.
- Contributing to curriculum development and adapting curricula to meet learner needs.
- Supporting the development of the whole learner, using contextualised and relevant examples to support learner development in English, maths, citizenship and a range of other topics.
- Supporting high participation and attendance by providing inspiring and engaging sessions.
- Maintaining learner records and information.
- Utilising your knowledge of the relevant sectors and industries to bring the topics to life with your learners.
- Work with key stakeholders to evaluate and develop solutions to ensure high satisfaction rates.
- Maintaining confidentiality with respect to the learners
Qualification and skill requirements:
- Teaching qualification at L3+ (PTLLS/AET+) or minimum 3 years or experience in theory and practical vocational training or education
- Assessor qualification desirable but not essential
- Resilient and able to work independently.
- Learner-focused with the motivation to deliver strong outcomes for individuals and transform lives.
- Highly organised and reliable
- Able to adapt and problem solve.
- Strong IT skills with experience of using MS packages and CRM systems.
