Who?
The Housing Service is looking for an enthusiastic Voids Surveyor to complete a small technical team responsible for the repair, maintenance and modernisation of the Council’s housing stock.
What will you be doing?
- Survey properties as they become void ensuring all technical checks are completed, ensuring properties meet our lettable standard and keeping void times to a minimum.
- Contribute to the Council’s Decarbonisation agenda, taking the opportunity whilst properties are void to undertake any relevant energy efficiency works.
- Manage a small number of projects to assist the team in delivering an effective repair and maintenance service.
What do you need?
- Possession of an HNC in Building or equivalent.
- Strong administrative skills, highly computer literate, and are able to communicate with others in a clear and informative way.
- Experience in all aspects of pre and post contract property maintenance works within a Social Housing environment is advantageous.
