Our client, based in Essex, is currently recruiting for a Voids Team Leaderon a 3-6 month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The daily rate for the role ranges from £290 - £350 per day via umbrella dependent on experience.
The ideal candidate assist, support and deputise for the Housing Maintenance Manager as and when required.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Assisting the Housing Maintenance Manager in their role as the Contract Administrator for the Building Maintenance Contract for the provision of a Void Repairs service to the housing stock
Deputising when necessary for the Housing Maintenance Manager including line management functions for the Housing Maintenance Team
Providing information when required on the performance of the reletting operations and contractors responsible for delivering the void reinstatement services in relation to the recognised Key Performance Indicators
Assisting with the preparation of all pre-contract elements prior to the letting of the Building Maintenance Contract including the specification, tender documentation, method statements, contractor evaluation and contractor selection processes, etc
Implementing and administering of effective systems to monitor and reletting functions, void 2 reinstatement and associated maintenance services performance and budgets, including compliance with budgetary constraints and general financial regulations and report to the Housing Maintenance Manager and /or the Director Operations (Property)
Dealing with a backlog of 178 void properties, contractor management and liaising with stakeholders
Experience required:
Experience of Building Construction and/or Building Maintenance Industry for a minimum of three years
A relevant HNC/HND in a Building/Construction related or Housing
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Knowledge of procurement and procurement processes
Familiarity with types of Building Contracts
Knowledge of Building Regulations
Working knowledge of Building Safety regulations
Familiarity with Housing Management Services
