Job description

About ARU:

ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

ARU’s research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields.  We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities.  Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK’s Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

About the role

You’ll be joining a committed team contributing toward the successful delivery of our University’s sports strategy. As Volleyball Head Coach, you’ll play a pivotal role by leading our High-Performance Volleyball activities including the BUCS teams and supporting the successful integration of ARU students into the Cambridge ARU  national league teams. You’ll add value to an already successful programme and ensure that the volleyball club continues to make a significant contribution to the overall Anglia Ruskin student experience for sport.

With a degree and a Level 2 Volleyball Qualification from a recognized NGB for Volleyball, you’ll be passionate about sport and determined to play your part in building our future. With previous experience of working in a sports environment and using your own initiative, you’ll have excellent organizational and communication skills.

The appointment is subject to an enhanced level disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 7th May 2024 (candidates must be available to be in Cambridge on this date)
