SalaryAt Talkback we help people with autism or a learning disability to lead the fulfilling lives that they want and to actively contribute to their local community.
We deliver a wide range of projects, across Buckinghamshire, to meet the needs of people with a learning disability and/or autism. Current projects include social & life skills training, sports & wellbeing, men’s and women’s groups, a drama group which puts on regular shows, an upcycling & woodwork enterprise, gardening & allotment groups, work experience and a creative arts group.
Last year we established an internal volunteer service to help our Project Workers who support our students and members in a wide range of groups and use their knowledge and skills to help people reach their potential. We are now looking for a new Volunteer Coordinator to build on this and develop the volunteer base.
Location: This is a hybrid role, with the requirement to visit our groups and meet volunteers at our locations in Amersham, Aylesbury and High Wycombe, as well as working from home.
Salary: £24,00 (£4,800 pro rata)
Hours: 7.5 hours per week
Whilst the Coordinator role is a remote role for 7.5 hours per week, there will be an expectation for you to come to our buildings as required in Amersham. Aylesbury and High Wycombe in order to induct and support the volunteers. You will be part of the HR team and work closely with the Heads of Programmes to achieve the best outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with and/or overseeing volunteers. You will have a strong teamworking ethic, excellent communication skills, a sense of accountability and the ability to work flexibly.
