Salary (Grade 4): £26,364 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (work pattern to be agreed) – Fixed-term contract until 31 January 2025
Location: NMRN, Hartlepool with the opportunity to adopt hybrid working (a combination of working onsite and from home)

If so, then this is an exciting new opportunity for you! The National Museum of the Royal Navy is recruiting to the new role of Volunteer Development Partner to deliver the AIM Connected Communities project. The programme is shaped around bringing people together to create a sustainable community focussed volunteering programme which uses the power of NMRN’s collections to develop pop-up exhibition boxes. The project aims to help inspire people and positively impact wellbeing, including countering loneliness and a sense of disconnect.
Key Opportunities
Develop and lead a supportive, fun and diverse volunteering programme at the National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool.
Enable SEND volunteers to successfully engage with the AIM Connected Communities project.
Develop a volunteer exchange programme with a network of local cultural and community organisations.
Knowledge/Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with diverse communities, particularly young people with SEND and protected characteristics. Experience of developing and managing supportive and fun volunteering programmes. Good at talking and writing to people and understand how to support volunteers to get the most out of their placements, enjoys learning new things and is willing to undertake relevant training.
