Volunteer English Tutor

Team Up is looking for inspirational role models who will tutor English to pupils from less advantaged backgrounds. You will be matched to a small group of pupils (max 4) on one of our school programmes in London that suits your timetable and location. We will supply you with training and materials to provide your pupils with the academic support, encouragement and inspiration they need to get them back on track.
Practical Considerations:
Sessions will take place on a fixed day of the week, normally at the end of the school day (between 3-5pm) but we do have some earlier programmes available as well Each programme runs for a school term - Autumn (Sep to Dec), Spring (Jan to Mar) and Summer (Apr-July). You will be expected to volunteer for at least 10-12weeks (one school term) This role requires you to undergo a free of charge DBS check which will be arranged by Team Up Reasonable travel expenses are covered

Enthusiasm and strong grades in the subject you wish to tutor in Committed and organised individuals who are keen to develop new skills Passionate about social mobility and helping to reduce the education attainment gap Good interpersonal skills when dealing with pupils
