We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Volunteer Shop Assistant. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Castle Gift Shop shop, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with inquiries, purchases, and product information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor
- Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems
- Assist in inventory management and restocking shelves
- Support shop staff in daily tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Honest, reliable, hardworking, good timekeeper with a smart appearance
- Excellent communication skills with a polite and friendly manner
- Confident with cash handling
- Interest or experience in retail and volunteering with the general public
- Keen to learn and develop new skills
- Willingness to learn about the history of The Black Watch
