SalaryThe 'Queer & Quantum' day comprises 6 events across science talks, theatre shows and drag performances. It's supported by charity Pride In Stem, The Stage Door, University of Southampton's Board of Diversity & Inclusion, and Arts Council England.
Volunteers are required to help with the smooth running of the day's events, with roles available on Front-of-House checking tickets, and as Stewards showing audience members to their seats and clearing away and re-setting the space after each event.
Each volunteer will be supported with travel and food expenses on the day, and will receive a 'Queer & Quantum' t-shirt in their chosen size and colour to be worn on the event day. For every event that a volunteer supports, they will receive free entry to another event on the day. So, if you volunteer to support 2 events throughout the day, you can see 2 other events for free.
Applications are particularly encouraged from those who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community and/or part of the Global Majority, with applications also being welcomed and encouraged by allies to both.
