Based in North Hampshire Kala The Arts is an award-winning Arts in Education charity and a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England. For more than 25 years, we have created and delivered South Asian Arts productions, Dance classes, training programs, productions, performances, workshops, and exhibitions across England. We are one of the two organisations in the UK which develops and promotes classical Indian Odissi dance under the artistic leadership of Sushmita Pati.
Over the last 4 years, we have led and organised middle scale events with local councils and businesses, playing an important and influential role in both creating and promoting opportunities for South Asian Arts, Heritage and Cultural Diversity across Hampshire and Berkshire. We have a strong track record of collaborating and connecting with organisations at a local, national, and international level and reached 27,000 audience members through various platforms in 2022 alone and more in 2023.
We work with 58 artists in the year and 19 volunteers.
We are looking to expand and deliver our exciting programme of activities within North Hampshire, Berkshire and London and beyond; bringing artists and communities together through the arts and developing the cultural communities next generation of Artists.
