Job description

Our client, a prominent financial institution, is actively seeking a seasoned and dynamic professional to step into the role of Vice President for Corporate Banking in the newly focused area of Acquisition Finance within the Infrastructure and UK Water Utilities sectors, based in London.

Responsibilities:

As a VP in Corporate Banking specializing in Acquisition Finance for Infrastructure and Utilities, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Cultivating a customer-focused culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage broader bank connections, systems, and knowledge.
  • Managing a portfolio of corporate clients and structured financings within the Infrastructure and UK Water Utilities. Meet pre-agreed targets in revenues, returns, asset and client growth, and credit quality.
  • Contributing to a high-performance environment, fostering inclusivity, and supporting the team's vision, values, and business strategy.
  • Assisting in structuring, analyzing, and performing due diligence on transactions related to Infrastructure acquisition financing, particularly in the UK Water Utilities sector.
  • Developing recommendations for the appropriate course of action and preparing credit submissions for adjudication by Global Risk Management.
  • Building and maintaining effective industry relationships with clients, lenders, and legal counsel.
  • Participating in marketing efforts with Directors/MDs and Global Loan Syndications, including the delivery of marketing pitches.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, preferably at a VP level.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Infrastructure lending, with a focus on Acquisition Finance or Leveraged Finance.
  • Solid understanding of documentation, including Acquisition Finance, due diligence skills, and industry trends within the Infrastructure and Utilities sectors, particularly in UK Water Utilities.
  • Knowledge of key players within the Infrastructure and Utilities sector, including Sponsors, Legal Firms, Advisors, and Due Diligence Providers.
  • Self-motivation, results-focused mindset, and a team player with strong learning ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare complete credit presentations.
  • Previous corporate banking or credit analysis experience is viewed positively.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
