We have an exciting opportunity for a Waking Night Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a specialist Emergency Placement Residential service for children aged 8-18 with EBD. The service is based in Tile Cross and will support up to 3 young people for a period of up to 12 weeks at a time. Our client’s Specialist Emergency Placement service provide friendships, independence, fun experiences and opportunities for children and young people.
This is a full time position working on a rolling rota of 3 nights on, 3 nights off with shift times operating between 21:30 to 07:30.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To maintain a high quality of care and support which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and cultural needs of the children and young people.
- Establishing positive relationships with the young people and always offering them unconditional and positive regard.
- Keeping accurate records and providing written reports on young people for planning meetings, reviews, or any other meetings, as directed by the line manager.
- Being aware of childcare plans for all young people and providing support for colleagues by maintaining consistency in the execution of those plans.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 1 years experience working in a residential setting with children and young people.
- A QCF Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People is preferred.
