Wall and Floor Tiler

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of tiles in residential and commercial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.

Duties:
- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled
- Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, or adhesive
- Mix and apply mortar or adhesive to secure tiles in place
- Cut tiles to fit around obstacles and create intricate patterns
- Install tiles using various techniques such as leveling, spacing, and aligning
- Apply grout and sealant to ensure a finished and waterproof surface
- Inspect and repair damaged tiles or grout as needed
- Clean up work area and dispose of debris properly

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tile Setter or similar role
- Strong knowledge of tile installation techniques, materials, and tools
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints to determine tile layout
- Proficient in using hand tools such as tile cutters, trowels, and levels
- Basic carpentry skills for preparing surfaces and making necessary repairs
- Familiarity with painting techniques for touch-ups or finishing touches
- Ability to build custom tile designs or patterns according to client specifications
- Comfortable working with power tools such as wet saws or grinders
