Ward Host / Catering Assistant

EQUANS are recruiting for x2 Ward Host / Catering Assistants to be based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, EH16 4SA. This is a permanent part-time role working 20 hours per week. On offer is a Competitive salary and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday 14:30-18:30

What will you deliver?

• To provide a safe, hygienic, nutritious, and timely food service for patients.
• Assisting in the delivery of a high standard of food service which meets the requirements of food hygiene legislation
• Ward host/hostess would be expected to do basic food prep if required to go down to the main kitchen (pick/pack area)
• Maintaining high standards of personal and general food hygiene as well as high standards of cleanliness in all work areas
• Ward hosts would be expected to do basic food prep when in pick and pack along with minimal cleaning duties
• Ensure that a high standard of personal grooming is maintained including wearing the required uniform and PPE provided.

Who are we looking for?

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Must have catering experience
• HACCP Knowledge
• Quality System Knowledge
• Fire safety
• Lifting & handling
• Health & safety

This role includes a DS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential
