You will co-ordinate the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment with 24-hour responsibility for staffing. Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care. Manage and direct the delivery of clinical services within the ward, ensuring it complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Registered on the NMC register, Mental Health
* Completed mentorship course
* Experience in working in and site management of an inpatient setting, preferable acute or PICU
* Experience as a Senior Nurse / Charge Nurse
* Relevant sufficient post-registration experience
* Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating & developing others
* Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
* Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following-up & ensuring completion of action plans
* Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983/2007, Mental Capacity Act 2005, guarding, DOLS & the latest nursing practices
* Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk
* Experience of having difficult conversations with staff, patients and carers
This is a full-time role in Brighton with a generous salary is on offer for this role up to £50,000 and a generous annual leave and other benefits.
