Position Summary


We are looking for a Warehouse and Dispatch all-rounder, to help us manage our inventory in a professional experienced manner, providing our internal customers with a world class service, adhering to in house processes, becoming the go to person via product range.


Splitting their week between Warehouse and Dispatch, the role will entail communications at all levels both internally and externally, customer facing within the Dispatch role.


Key Responsibilities


Operational

To provide a world class service to your internal and external customers

  • Reduce damage in transit warranty claims
  • Identify areas of improvement and suggest and implement

Operational Excellence

To drive continuous improvement activities within the Departments. Develop a culture of continuous improvements – “do it once do it right”.


  • Continually develop processes to drive overall performance
  • Implement robust continuous improvement ideas initiative
  • 5S programme developed, implemented and owned by individuals
  • Implement and manage 6S programmes within the Depts

Quality

Improve quality in all areas of departments through driving a quality culture


  • Ensure reports are raised for all department issues via reporting system, pushing for root cause solutions

Team development

Drive team culture to set the standard of operational excellence and capability within the business


Requirements for Consideration


Essential Skills:


  • >2 years’ experience in warehouse or dispatch environment
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Experience of leading small group activities to drive improvement ideas
  • Experience of developing (multi-skills)
  • Strong IT and Excel skills
  • Good knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Kanban and Kaizen
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety and environmental practices
  • Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communicator, written and oral.

Desirable Skills:


Leadership Qualification’s

Band Saw and Chop Saw Experience

Cranes and Lifts Certificates

Qualifications or Relevant Work Experience


Experience/Degree/Certification:


FLT License preferable

Dispatch and Packing experience

ERP system knowledge

Understanding of inventory management
