Warehouse Assissant/Driver

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Assistant / Driver to join one of our clients in the Logistics and Transportation industry. Our client, a global brand operating in 40 different countries, is looking for a Warehouse Assistant / Driver to join their team in Barking.

The Responsibilities of the Warehouse Assistant / Driver

• Strong FLT (Forklift Truck) experience - Reach & Counterbalance Forklifts are used within their warehouse.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Ensure all orders are received accurately and in accordance with requirements.
• Liaise with third-party delivery companies, pick orders, and load all vehicles.
• Report any physical aspects affecting the warehouse building to the Management Team.
• Handle quality control matters within the warehouse environment.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures, monitoring and ensuring compliance.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Management team, as well as the Service and Distribution departments.
• Aid in loading and driving deliveries to site/customer when required.

The Warehouse Assistant / Driver will have the following Attributes:

• Possess a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
• High standard of verbal and written communication in English, fluency in Polish is preferred.
• Good organisational skills, methodical, able to manage own workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Be a team player, capable of working with peers towards achieving business objectives.
• Able to demonstrate initiative and a can-do attitude.
• Flexibility to work at other warehouse locations when required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Possess a 'Reach / Counterbalance' Forklift Truck Licence (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £22,500.00-£24,500.00 per year
