Warehouse Assistant/Operative

We are currently supporting a Leighton Buzzard based company who are seeking an experienced warehouse assistant to join their core warehouse department. Please note, for this role, you MUST have a full UK Driving Licence, and aged over 25 for insurance purposes.

Working Hours: 07:00am - 16:30pm, Monday to Friday. There is no flexibility on the working hours.

Summary/Overview:

• This role is fast paced with multiple small consumable orders to be sent out within 24 - 48 hours clients across the UK, however, primarily within London and the Home Counties.
• You will support the warehouse in all aspect including picking & packing, stock taking, goods in/out and housekeeping.
• The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on their feet and lifting up-to 25kgs, with a focus on meeting individual and team KPI’s.
• MUST have attention to detail and be proactive, looking out for ways to improve the warehouse & logistics function.

Key Duties:

• Picking & Packing, and preparing deliveries for dispatch.
• Checking deliveries in/out, including unloading container deliveries.
• Forklifting duties.
• Stock taking.
• General housekeeping.
• Data entry of important information on the system.
• Occasional driving of company vehicles.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 2 years warehouse experience, including Picking & Packing, and goods in/out.
• Must be computer literate with good data entry and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written English.
• Excellent numeracy skills both mental and written.
• Forklift licence preferred although training provided for the right candidate.
• Physically fit, must be able to lift, up to 25kgs multiple times throughout the day.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team using own initiative.
• Preferably hold a clean driving licence for 2 years or more, and over 25 for insurance purposes experience of driving vans would be beneficial.
