We are looking for a Warehouse Ecommerce Team Leader to be based at our site in Wellingborough (NN8 6BS). This role is 9-month Maternity cover, full time.
The position holder will support the effective running of the Ecommerce operation, including inbound and outbound across the Wellingborough site.
You will be expected to work 4 on and 4 off 1300-2300.

Key responsibilities:
Operations
  • Oversee the effective running of the shift to ensure products are safely handled through all inbound and outbound processes, whilst adhering to company procedures, to meet (and exceed) customers’ expectations.
  • Ensure all goods are handled in the correct manner to keep damage to product to a minimum.
  • Ensure all manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury and harm.
  • Responsible for the smooth running of your designated shift, ensuring staff are briefed and managed in accordance with SOP’s and WI’s.
  • Oversee employee relations procedures such as holiday authorisations to ensure sufficient levels of employees are available as required to meet operational demands, raising in a timely manner where additional staff are required either on a temporary or permanent basis.
  • Report any discrepancies / damages
  • Carry out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse, including supporting other teams and shifts as necessary
  • Look for continuous improvements in the running of the operation.
Health and Safety
  • Ensure all H&S procedures are adhered to, taking appropriate action where procedures are not being adhered to.
  • Ensure all relevant equipment checks are carried out to make sure a safe working environment is always maintained.
  • Report any breaches of H&S procedures.
MHE
  • Ensure that all MHE is used in an appropriate manner, identifying, and arranging relevant training to ensure there are sufficient numbers of trained employees to meet business demands.
Company Procedures
  • Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including ER procedures, such as absence and performance management, standards of behaviour, disciplinary, PDR etc, supporting with investigations and disciplinary hearings as necessary.
Communication
  • Ensure that all business communications are effectively managed and shared with the team as appropriate.

Key requirements:
  • Previous experience of leading a team in a fast-moving operation.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to drive expected level of performance and motivate the team
  • Previous Ecommerce experience is an advantage.
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques is an advantage.
  • Problem solving & Investigative skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills
  • Literate and numerate
  • Computer literate. Previous use of RF scanners and MS Excel advantageous.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and on your own due to role being late shift
