Warehouse Improvement Lead

My Telford based client is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Improvement Lead.

As the Warehouse Improvement Lead you will be responsible for leading performance driven initiatives, you will take operational lead and have responsibility for driving out waste and inefficiency in your area, through the application of the site’s digital systems an proven improvement methodology.

Salary up to £46k depending on experience

33 days holiday including bank holidays

Responsibilities:-

• Ensure improvements to drive the efficient running of the warehouse by leading and supporting continuous improvement projects to drive operational excellence and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure that effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) exist and are maintained
• Conduct thorough assessments of existing warehouse processes and identify areas for improvement
• Develop and implement strategies to optimise inventory control, order picking/packing and overall warehouse efficiency.
• Defining problems precisely through data driven analysis
• Analysing and reporting on warehouse process, methods, schedules, waste management and losses.

Skills and experience:-

• TPM/Lean Manufacturing knowledge
• In-depth knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes in a high automated Lean manufacturing environment.
• Experienced in the following manufacturing sectors, Food & Drink manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Aerospace, Automotive (Tier 1) or Medical Devices.
• Demonstrate positivity, relentless drive through resilience and a can-do attitude.
• Extensive experience in successful application of Lean, 6 sigma, Kaizen, etc.
• Excellent communication, coating and interpersonal skills
• Expert data analysis skills
• Management experience
