A bit about the role:

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our team. Reporting in to the Factory Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and compliance of the team to ensure employees are motivated, working safely toward a common goal and maximising productivity. This will include affectively monitoring KPIs and showing continual improvements as well as proactively managing holidays and all data systems. You will be responsible for engaging with staff and finding more effective ways of working whilst creating a strong multi-skilled team and creating a robust succession plan.

Effective team deployment is vital to ensure the warehouse operation provides the highest level of service to our customers and productivity within the business. You’ll be capable of managing and motivating a team of people to perform to their maximum potential whilst complying with sanitation controls and food, health, safety and quality policies. You must communicate effectively with individuals at all levels including those within different departments. You will promote and manage compliance and standards including PPE, ops checks, MHE, contractors, hygiene, temperature checks, pest control, accidents and near misses. You will also be responsible cleaning and maintaining tools / equipment, inspecting product quality and identify any non-conforming products correctly and people management / employee relations related tasks such as absence and performance management, investigations and disciplinary processes etc. You will also key holder responsibilities.

To be successful in this role you’ll have strong communication skills and have proven team management experience preferably in a food warehousing and distribution environment. You will be an excellent planner and organised with the ability to adapt and drive change and continuous improvement across the operation.

You will be required to work any 5 out of 7 days, primarily Monday to Friday 7.5 hours between 6am & 5pm, although flexibility will be required.

· Experience in a similar role

· Sage 200 or industry equivalent experience is desirable

· Fork lift/counter balance license
