Clements Grey is collaborating with a key client specialising in FMCG warehousing and distribution, currently seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager on a permanent basis to drive perfomance and optimisation across their new state-of-the-art warehouse facility.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the warehouse team, overseeing order assembly, dispatch, and receipt of supplier deliveries.
- Lead and manage the Goods Inwards and transport teams, ensuring smooth operations and timely processing.
- Set KPIs, establish daily targets, and oversee performance management processes to drive performance and profitability.
- Continuously review operational activities, seeking opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness and customer service delivery.
- Uphold rigorous Health and Safety standards, prioritizing compliance across all warehouse activities.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, proactively placing orders for PPE and packaging supplies as required.
- Manage transport logistics, including driver oversight, route planning, and cost control measures for efficient operations.
- Lead a team of four managers, providing coaching, development, and performance management support.
- Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures, fostering colleague engagement and ensuring compliance with SOPs for optimal operational performance.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience managing operations across fast-paced, busy warehouseing environments.
- Strong continuous improvement and operational improvement experience
- CPC qualification strongly desired but not essential.
- Strong experience in driving HSE culture
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
