What does the role involve?
Our client is consistently growing, taking on new customers daily. In the role of Warehouse Operative you will providing a service to meet all of the customer's requirements.
Ensuring safety and security regulations are followed at all times, you will be a vital part of the operational team dealing with various responsibilities all in a time sensitive environment.
Please note, to be considered for this role you must hold a Forklift Certificate/Licence.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Build and break down pallets for majority of the shifts.
- Operating Forklift.
- Load and off-load import and export freight from and onto vehicles.
- Place and retrieve freight in and from storage areas.
- Build cargo onto aircraft units to airline specifications.
- Complete documentation to record details and movement of freight, mail, and equipment.
- Complete necessary checks on Imports/Exports to ensure company and Customer requirements are being met.
- Build and break down pallets.
- Record and process cargo documents using hand held technology.
- Work as part of a team to tight deadlines
Role specifics:
Location: Heathrow
Shift Times: 06:00 - 14:30
Shift pattern: 4 on 2 off.
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour. Overtime available from time and a half to double time on weekends.
Working Week: 40-hour week between Monday to Sunday - must be able to work weekends & Bank Holidays.
Length: Ongoing full-time position with the potential of going permanent.
Start Date: ASAP
Requirements:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Driving licence preferred.
- Must hold a forklift certificate/licence.
- Manual handling of heavy goods.
- Must be able to provide 5-year full working history and eligibility to work in the UK, for referencing and Criminal Record Checks (CRB) vetting.
