£26,000 per annum

Full time, Permanent position 
Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday's

Our client a well established fuel supply company in Stanford-Le-Hope, Essex are looking for a (Trainee) Warehouse Operative to grow and develop into a knowledgeable and experienced Operative to join their busy team.

The Role:

• Maintain the cleaning stations and surrounding areas and raise issues with senior management as necessary.
• Check, stock count, quality control, clean and maintain intermediate bulk containers, drums and pallets.
• Complete daily site-walk around security and safety checks.
• Waste Management - Daily inspections of waste bunds along with weekly completion of waste IBC's on site.
• General housekeeping as explained through training and guidance.
• To undertake rolling stock checks in accordance with the requirements of the business ensuring stock control and accuracy. Report findings to Warehouse Supervisor to analyse and maintain.
• To undertake drum crushing and disposal through the required processes ensuring the waste is regularly removed from site.
• To pick and process surplus fuel requirements, and assist in the loading of the tankers for the Surplus materials following correct procedures and controls.
• Assist in other scheduled and ad-hoc duties to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the site.

The Person:

• Counterbalance Forklift trained (must have valid certification and recent operating experience within the last 3 months).
• Trained in emergency response with specific understanding within your current role within the ERP is essential the position.
• Aptitude for literacy and numeracy in order to read and understand and then execute instructions as per written works order documentation.
• Confident using Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Confident using scanning equipment for stock control purposes.
• A positive attitude and an ability to problem solve.
• Enthusiasm and perseverance.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to build rapport with your team.
• Understanding of process health and safety procedures.
• Good understanding of warehouse output and warehouse stock holding with a hands-on approach of working.
