We are excited to be working in partnership with a fantastic logistics company who are based in the Hedge End area of Southampton which is looking to recruit 4 x Warehouse Operative’s to join their small, friendly team. The work will commence from W.C 19th February with an initial interview required in W.C 22nd January.

This is a terrific opportunity for a dedicated, reliable, experienced Warehouse Operative to join a company on a long term temporary contract, that could lead into a permanent job in the future!

Full training can be provided, although some warehouse experience would be preferred. If you have a strong work ethic with a ‘can-do attitude’, and would feel comfortable working within a small team then this is the job for you.

As a Warehouse Operative you will be:

• Manually picking and packing customer orders
• Checking paperwork is correct and matches the product
• Load and unload deliveries using correct manual handling techniques
• Ensuring all stock is of good quality prior to dispatch
• Reporting any stock issues to management
• Assisting with all other general warehouse duties

Some of the skills required for the Warehouse Operative roles include:

• Be physically fit and able to lift boxes weighing up to 25 kilos
• Be able to work on your own initiative after training has been provided
• Be happy to stand on your feet all day

If you are reliable and get on well, the company can look to invest in your training and potentially look to train you internally on a Reach Forklift.

The working hours for the Warehouse Operative roles are Monday to Fridays from 8am to 5pm, with 30 minutes for lunch. Overtime is paid at X1.5 after 40 hours are completed in the week. No weekend work required.
