We are a leading manufacturer in the uPVC industry, committed to delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced customer centred environment. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a diligent and proactive Warehouse Operative with a Class 2 Driver Licence who will be able to support productivity and shunt equipment in line with the business needs.
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to fill the role of Warehouse Shunter. If you are enthusiastic, committed, and thrive in a collaborative team environment, we want to hear from you. The role is fulltime and will be working 8-hour shifts between the hours of 6am-10pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shunting our fleet of vehicles in coordination with a friendly team of warehouse operatives and drivers.
- Maintain an effective and safe operational environment on site.
- Carefully shunt equipment with attention to detail, ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of work.
- Liaise with the Warehouse team to guarantee the correct loading and storing of our products.
- Support the Warehouse team with loading and unloading products.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and working practices with colleagues, maintaining a professional, efficient, and friendly service.
- Undertake local deliveries to collect goods and deliver to local dealers.
- Ensure all goods are delivered in a timely and efficient manner, arriving in a quality condition.
- Provide first-class customer service to our dealerships during deliveries and collections.
- Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, Tachograph rules, and Working Time regulations.
- Ensure full compliance and familiarity with transport legislation.
Person Attributes:
- Class 2 qualified.
- Fully trained and experienced in shunting vehicles.
- A full clean driving license would be advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of driving hours, tachographs, and working time legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team player mentality.
- Ability to work independently with a can-do attitude and effective time management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with employees and customers effectively.
- Willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into daily work.
