Warehouse / Stores Assistant

LGC’s Sport and Specialised Analytical Services (SSAS) department provides a range of analytical services including animal sports doping control, human drug testing, nutritional supplement analysis, drug monitoring and bespoke contract research.

This is a full-time position and necessitates an on-site presence during the working week. The role will be expected to provide cover for the core operating hours of the Stores function (8:30am – 5 pm).

• Receipt and booking-in of stock and samples for SSAS
• Inspection of goods received
• Stock control; movement of stock around site
• Unloading of supplies
• Place orders to replenish stocks.
• The role is varied and the job holder may be required to perform additional, non-routine and administration tasks

• The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic with a positive attitude and willingness to get involved
• Previous experience within a Stores environment is desirable, but full training will be provided
• Good numeracy skills
• A flexible approach to tasks
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Good time management
• Highly motivated and willing to get involved
• Team player, who is also able to work individually
