Warehouse / Stores Manager
Our client is currently seeking a Warehouse / Stores Manager to join their dynamic team. The company are a family run specialist manufacturer of bespoke packaging and paper converters. They provide personalised packaging solutions to a range of sectors. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive individual to oversee and optimise our clients warehouse operations.
As the Warehouse / Stores Manager, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the day-to-day operations of their warehouse and stores department. Your key focus will be on ensuring the smooth functioning of logistics, inventory management and traceability, and timely order processing to meet customer demands.
This is a perfect role for an individual who enjoys being hands-on, is highly organised and enjoys taking sole responsibility for their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all warehouse activities, including unloading deliveries, transferring goods to production, keeping stock movement system updated, ensuring traceability of all inventories, managing stock and material levels, and dealing with goods-in.
- Maintain health and safety standards within the warehouse environment.
- Promote teamwork, motivation, and productivity between yourself and the production team.
- Continuously review and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency.
- Work closely with other departments to streamline operations and facilitate seamless order.
- Resolve any order discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Liaising with production team and aligning with production schedule.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse / Stores Manager or a similar role within a distribution or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and best practices in warehousing.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
- A proactive and results-driven approach to achieve operational efficiency.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
Remuneration
- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm.
- Overtime Available
- Holiday Entitlement: 24 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Parking on site
