Salary: £21,174 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Location: Unit 6, Maybrook Road Ind Est, Brownhills, Walsall, WS8 7DG

Programme Duration: 15 months

Apprenticeship Programme;

During this programme, we'll help you to develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career.

As well as this, you’ll also gain qualifications in Level 2 Warehousing Certificate and health and safety certificates.

With many of our colleagues starting as apprentices, you’ll receive full support and guidance from everyone throughout.

By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential.

What you'll be doing;

- Assist the Storeperson in maintaining adequate stock levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), tools and equipment.

- Manage all goods delivered to the site together with offloading and storage

- Check stock and maintain appropriate stock levels to support the safe and smooth running of operations

- Maintain good workshop housekeeping at all times.

- Ensure purchase orders and requisitions are raised following the correct company procedure.

- Participate in the Veolia Emergency Response duty rota system as and when required.

- Ensure Health and Safety are adhered to within the IS stores and immediate area.

- Check the security of IS buildings, including the security of vehicles parked in the yard overnight.

- Thoroughly inspect equipment before and after each use including breathing apparatus, working-at-height equipment, electrical equipment, PPE, High-Pressure Water jetting equipment and any other stores for the specific job.

- Ensuring all plant and equipment are fit for use and any maintenance or repairs that are required are carried out in a safe manner.

What we're looking for;

- A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) achieved or predicted, including Maths & English

- The ability to work in a team is essential as is a rigorous application of Health and Safety standards and a positive safety influence in everything you do.

- Ability to work on your own initiative when required.

- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to handle difficult or unexpected situations as well as complex business challenges.

- A flexible approach towards work is required which includes the availability for our on-call rota.

- A full UK driving licence. Preferentially with experience driving on busy A roads and Motorways, driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes GVW.

- A meticulous eye for detail

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Good understanding of computers with some understanding of how to use Google Drive, G-Mail Google Sheets and Google Docs
