Warehouse / Stores Person

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Dalkeith, is currently looking to recruit Porters / Warehouse Operatives  on a rate of £11.44/hour (PAYE). The work will start on the 15th of March and the working hours are 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities:

• Assist with the collation and packing of all items requiring despatch.
• Ensure these activities are carried our accurately and according to the timeframe given.
• Organise collate and distribute material to internal and external customers.
• Undertake accurate filing and storage of paperwork.
• Retrieval of stored paperwork..
• Checking, organising, moving and handling of stationery and materials.
• Maintain a tidy work area and comply with all Health and Safety regulations.

Essential Skills:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to understand written and verbal communications.
• Basic numerical abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Flexible working approach.
• Ability to work on own as well as part of a team.
• There is a daily requirement to undertake manual handling including heavy lifting and pallet movement.
