Job Description
WORKING MONDAY TO FRIDAY 6am - 15.30pm WITH SOME FLEXIBILITY WITH START AND END TIMES AND FOR OCCASIONAL WEEKEND COVER
Warehouse:
- Adhering to Health and Safety, Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team
- Ensure products are picked and dispatched in a timely manner working against strict timescales
- Maintain the highest levels of customer service
- Weekly and full monthly stock counts, overstock checks and deal with any unposted stock adjustments.
- Manage daily and weekly operational challenges, escalating any issues you cannot resolve to the Warehouse Manager
- Supervise and control goods in operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage, with sporadic help with picking on out bound deliveries.
- Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring housekeeping standards are always maintained
- Manage goods in – all stock to be checked and put away in a timely manner/record & communicate any discrepancies with purchasing team. Pallet labels to be applied to all stock upon receipt
- Daily reporting on the Acron report
- Ensure order fulfilment by managing the accuracy of product picking
- Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures and sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues
- Manage the implementation of warehouse changes, production trials, model changes as directed by Head of Operations and/or Warehouse Manager
- Ensuring the short-dated stock is checked and reported back to the business weekly
- Manage the daily returns and collections in line with company procedures
- Ensure compliance to all relevant legislation affecting Kent warehouse operations
- Ensure compliance with all Employment Law and Health and Safety requirements within the Kent warehouse operations and complete daily reporting for all Health & Safety concerns identified on walkaround checks
- MHE checks & defects to be reported daily in line with company procedures
- Contribute to the identification, evaluation and where appropriate implementation of improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations
- Lead team development requirements to ensure the team are motivated and skilled in all requirements of the operation via monthly 1-2-1's
- Ensure staff work to the processes and procedures relating to the warehouse operation and debrief them in accordance with the Company requirements
- Assist in the recruitment of warehouse staff as required
- Monitor staff performance levels, providing feedback to the employee and to the Warehouse Manager on achievements and/or concerns and help to identify improvement opportunities
- Daily open communication with Kent warehouse staff on team briefs, company news, warehouse updates, operational requirements, shift matters and working processes
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Able to work autonomously
- Good knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Flexible working attitude with a proactive and positive approach to duties.
- Proven organisational skills, including planning and problem solving.
- Proven record in delivering excellent customer service and meeting customer expectations.
