Goods Inwards and Storage
We are looking for someone to take ownership of our warehousing duties who will take a pride in managing the storage of our stock, and "make it their own".
Deliveries to be moved to the appropriate warehouse as soon as possible after delivery and booked onto our system.
Responsible for neat, tidy, and logical storage of stock. Stock of goods to be stored to allow easy access to items required more frequently, whereas items with lower usage to kept in less accessible areas/warehouses.
Customer orders made “live” by arrival of goods to be updated to the appropriate status code on our system and fed into the workflow as soon as possible.
Plan ahead and be aware of imminent arrival of goods in order to plan effective storage.
Develop understanding of which lines need frequent “topping up” from other warehousing on site.
Develop excellent product knowledge and ability to recognise products from a wide range.
Stock Control
Be aware of apparent low stock and advise to Admin.
Tuesday weekly – complete packaging inventory and hand to office.
GOODS OUTWARDS/PACKING - OUTLINE
Picking from warehouse and feeding to the workflow. Update orders status on the system and follow other system updates to show progress of the order.
Stock discrepancies to be advised to Admin.
Packing of customer orders and entering details on to carriers’ systems.
Palletise orders for shipment.
OTHER DUTIES
Customer Returns
Unpack goods and advise office of details.
General
Act as efficiently as possible, bearing in mind our current premises constraints.
Use appropriate equipment to transport goods between warehouses as quickly and safely as possible.
The warehousing role will not account for a full day’s work every day. You will be expected to learn and undertake other duties in order to continue our policy of developing a flexible team.-

Qualifications preferred:
GCSE Maths and English Grades A-C
