Educated Appointments are thrilled to be representing a logistics learning and development organisation in recruiting a Warehousing & Storage Tutor for their centre in Middleton, Greater Manchester.
The role will involve tutoring both Level 1 and Level 2 Warehouse & Storage employability courses, which will be run in the Middleton centre. This will involve working with individuals towards their assessment for portfolio building.
Ideally, candidates will already have their PTLLS/ CTLLS or L5 Teaching Qualification, however if you have occupational competency within Warehousing & Storage, the client will look to put you through these qualifications.
Main Duties & Responsibilites
- Induct learners into the learning environment, courses and systems where appropriate.
- To deliver quality training and assessment in the Middleton centre, keeping with high standards and the relevant awarding bodies.
- Ensure all training elements are completed in accordance with the awarding bodies’ requirements and programme guidelines and within the agreed time scales required to achieve the NVQ / framework award.
- Maintain centre records / systems in accordance with the awarding bodies’ criteria and ensure that all records are accurate, legible and in the approved format.
- To ensure learners are assessed in keeping with the assessment schedule and that they are reviewed in accordance with requirements.
- To observe learners within the warehouse undertaking training delivered i.e. Picking and Packing/Wrapping pallets
- Monitor and verify candidate progress.
- Attend meetings and training sessions to develop relevant knowledge and skills in order to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
- Achieve key performance targets.
- To deliver quality teaching to the needs of the programme, including the improvement of profitability and growth.
- To deliver other courses across the business that fits with your skills and experience
- To promote all company products.

- Working flexible hours to meet the needs of the department as agreed with the Manager which may include a shift pattern.
- Undertake any reasonable request made by senior management.
- Support the Job Gym team on the Information, Advice and Guidance Open days
- Support departmental management in ensuring that the department is working to funding targets.
- Develop and maintain awareness and knowledge of up-to-date Warehouse development theory and methods.
- Develop activities to meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management.
- Undergo personal development to maintain and develop skills relevant to the job role and as required by contracts for funded learning.
- To assist with preparation of Reviews and accreditation visits.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- ICT, English and Math’s qualifications all at L2 or above (Essential)
- PTLLS / CTLLS (Desirable)
- L5 Teaching Qualification (Desirable)
- Advice and Guidance L3 or above (Desirable)
