Job description

You will work as part of a team of front-line Waste staff, providing refuse collection, recycling and environmental cleansing services.

You will carry out collections from residential properties throughout the borough, safely transporting waste, including materials for recycling or composting to appropriate disposal sites, complying at all times with Health & Safety and Workplace Regulations. Some of the tasks you will be required to carry out involve heavy lifting or other forms of sustained physical activity, you will therefore need to be reasonably fit to carry out this type of work.

Waste Services operates 363 days a year, some unsocial hours are therefore necessary to ensure public service provision is maintained.
