We have openings for 3 x Waste Yard Operatives to join an established team working for a global healthcare brand based at our site in Hull. The role is diverse within a busy manufacturing and research environment, and we’re looking for self-motivated team players who wish to be a part of something special.
At this time, we are only accepting applications from those who hold a valid and in date Counterbalance FLT License.
Evidence of this will be required on Interview before applications can move to the next stage.

Job Purpose
- To provide an excellent service for all aspects of waste management on a busy production site
- To support the business, both FISco and RB, in terms of maintaining a safe, clean, and productive site.
Vacancies;
Shift Pattern (x2 Vacancies - hours and pay rate as below)
Weeks 1 & 2 - Mon-Fri - 2pm-10pm
Week 3 - Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun - 6am-6pm
Week 4 - Wed-Fri - 6am-4pm
Pay Rate - £11.43 per hour, with overtime available and paid at x1.5 of hourly rate.
20 Days paid Holiday per year (Jan-Dec).
Night Shift (1 Vacancy - hours as below)
Saturday - Wednesday - 10pm-6am
Pay Rate - £11.79 per hour, with overtime available and paid at x1.5 of hourly rate
Key Tasks/Accountabilities
- Emptying Waste Disposal Units across the site
- Sorting Waste collected from around the site into the correct disposal units
- Completing all relevant paperwork correctly
- Employ all recycling initiative to ensure maximal efficiency of all processes
- Complete all procedures as per the training and instruction provided
- To carry out the collection and transfer of pallets as required
- Complete site deliveries and collections as directed
- Moving drums around site
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Assisting Grounds and Security Team with tasks as directed
- Emptying of skips
- General operation of forklift
- General operation of compactor
- General operations of mobile bin lifter
- Ensure you wear the correct and provided uniform to complete all duties within your shift.
- Comply with all client policies/procedures in relation to housekeeping/infection control/security
- Responsible for own Health and Safety as well as the team and all personnel in the vicinity
- To report all equipment and site defects to your team leader
- Complete safety check of equipment prior to use.
- Adhere closely to the site codes of practice
- To perform other such duties as may be reasonably requested by your team leader
- Ad-hoc duties as required
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Essential
- Must have FLT license
- Initiative and ability to identify, solve and escalate problems accordingly
- Good Team Ethic and a positive can-do attitude
Desirable
- Waste/Recycling experience
- Knowledge of various waste streams
- Previous experience in use of machinery, such as Bin Lifter's, Compactor's etc.
