MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Waste Treatment Supervisor to join a leading business within the Energy and Waste Management industry, with a long-term goal of establishing sustainability and efficiency.  As the Waste Treatment Supervisor, you will be responsible for a team of operators across the Waste Treatment department, ensuring the plant achieves its production targets in a safe and efficient manner.

As the Waste Treatment Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the MBT (Mechanical Biological Treatment) plant including the MRF and AD plant
• Overseeing a team of fuel and recycling operatives
• Working closely with the engineering team to ensure plant repairs are handled efficiently
• Ensuring full compliance of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and
• Manage the training and development of the team
• Striving to achieve the daily, monthly and yearly production targets
• Other duties as required

This role involves working 12hr shifts, days and nights, over a 5 week shift pattern with plenty of time off in between

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Proven experience of leading a team or managing a production process e.g. MRF, waste processing, biomass, wood processing etc
• Working knowledge of the energy/waste industry is advantageous
• Supervisory / people management experience is essential
• The ability to work flexibly to ensure the plant is fully staffed at all times
• An IOSH qualification would be ideal but isn’t essential
