Wastewater Assets Field Manager (East)
Role Description
The Wastewater Assets Field Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective deployment of resources and assets to ensure regulatory compliance at wastewater treatment works and to meet all relevant customer and compliance standards within their area of responsibility.
The Field Manager will have responsibility for the East Area (Belfast).
The role will commence as a transitionary role with a significant focus to shadow the current Asset Field Manager (East), to gain familiarisation of the role and a working knowledge of the operational management of Wastewater Assets. A primary focus will be to provide Asset Performance Engineer duties in relations to Kinnegar Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW) being delivered by the Living With Water Programme (LWWP).

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. A minimum of an ONC/OND BTEC or equivalent in a relevant field AND a minimum of two years’ relevant experience in the water / wastewater industry, to include knowledge and understanding of Wastewater activities and infrastructure, minor works improvements, liaising with stakeholders, scheduling work and management of contractors.
OR (in the absence of a qualification)
A minimum of four years relevant experience in water or wastewater operations, to include knowledge and understanding of Wastewater activities and infrastructure, minor works improvements, liaising with stakeholders, scheduling work and management of contractors.
2. A working knowledge of Health and Safety Risk Assessments and control measures and managing minor civil engineering projects
3. Experience in identifying and allocating resources (staff and budgets), measuring performance and monitoring delivery to achieve objectives.
4. Proficient in the use of IT including Word, PowerPoint with a good working knowledge and understanding of a geographical mapping tool.
5. Experience in analyzing, interpreting, reporting of data in Microsoft Excel to draw sound conclusions.*
6. A knowledge of Waste management legislation and be willing to be trained to appropriate level (CoTC).
7. Medically fit to undergo any relevant training e.g. working in confined spaces (Please note that due to Health and Safety regulations, there is a maximum weight limit of 120kgs).
8. As this post requires you to travel on official duty throughout Northern Ireland, you must have a full driving license or access to a reliable means of transport, which will enable you to fulfil your responsibilities. This is an operational requirement and is essential to meet business needs.
*Essential Criteria 5 will be tested at interview stage.

Salary
This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £33,670 to £44,893 per annum.
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
