Job Role - Water Hygiene Engineer / Operative
Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Salary: 24,000 - 34,000 DOE + Benefits and Company Vehicle
We are currently working closely with a specialist legionella compliance company, with over two decades experience within the industry. Our client is looking for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to cover contracts across the Midlands / Yorkshire area. You will come from a strong Water Hygiene background, having previously worked as an operative / engineer or environmental service technician, and be well-rehearsed in working to ACOP L8 and HSG guidelines.
Candidates will have good access to the M1 and Yorkshire / Midlands area. Areas considered include; Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham, Chesterfield, Worksop, Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield, Loughborough, Leicester and the surrounding areas.
Experience:
- Experience carrying out L8 compliance duties to ACoP L8 guidelines.
- Good working knowledge of domestic water systems.
- Experience undertaking closed system testing is desirable.
- Able to work on your own or as part of a team.
Outline of duties:
- Temperature monitoring.
- Water sampling.
- Inspections of cold and heated water storage tanks.
- Showerhead descales.
- Calorifiers flushing.
- Cleans & Disinfections on storage tanks.
- Cooling tower cleans and disinfections.
- TMV inspection, testing and servicing.
- CWST inspections.
- Basic remedial and installation works on hot and cold water systems.
- Updating site logbooks.
