Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer

Job Title: Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer.
Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
Salary / Benefits 22k - 35k + Training + Benefits
Future Select specialise in recruitment within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry and we are working closely with an independent and leading name within the Water Hygiene / Legionella Industry, who work across Commercial, Leisure, Hospitality, and Manufacturing sites. Due to continued growth and success, they are now recruiting for a Water Hygiene / Remedial Engineer to join their team in the North East region. The successful candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry and will be able to confidently carry out a wide range of remedial tasks including; tank inspections, open vent rerouting, deadleg removals, and RPZ valve replacement. Due to the nature of the contracts, the successful applicant must be happy to travel extensively within the role.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: South Shields, Tynemouth, Ashington, Newcastle upon Tyne, Hexham, Consett, Durham, Gateshead, Peterlee, Hartlepool, Redcar, Middlesbrough, Barnard Castle, Darlington, Stockton on Tees, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Morpeth.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Holding either the City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Plumbing qualification is essential to the role.
" Will hold experience working within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry is beneficial to the role.
" Able to work to agreed deadlines.
" Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
" Experience with water softener units and reverse osmosis would be beneficial but not essential.
" Will demonstrate excellent working knowledge of ACoP L8 / Health and Safety guidelines.
You will be working on a mixed portfolio of sites, carrying out:
" Tank inspections.
" Closed system analysis.
" Temperature monitoring & water sampling.
" Analytical testing and remediation of closed systems.
" Open vent rerouting.
" Calorifier pasteurisation.
" Installing, testing, servicing, and replacing of TMVs.
" Expansion vessel reorientation.
" Deadleg removals.
" Showehead descales and disinfections.
" Minor plumbing installations.
" RPZ valve replacement, servicing, and maintenance.
" Water tank remediation.
" Replacing and rerouting of pipework (PVC and Copper)
" Tank cleans.
" Ensuring work complies with ACoP L8 / Health and Safety guidelines.
" Installing injection points.
" Ensuring onsite logbooks are accurate and up to date.
