Job description

Water Programme Co-ordinator
Role Purpose
Pivotal role in co-ordinating multiple stakeholders (ESP/ SLP/Developers/Incumbent water companies/Regulators) to support the NAV application process for multiple and concurrent New Appointment and Variation (NAV) water and wastewater sites.
The post-holder will take a lead role in compiling and submitting NAV applications, monitoring progress of individual and portfolio NAV applications, and ensuring compliance with the water NAV governance process.
Location
Leatherhead office; or Hybrid or home-based working with attendance at Leatherhead as required to efficiently fulfil the role and agreed with the lien manager.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires a self-driven individual to:

  • Own the NAV application process in accordance with the water gpvernance process
  • Own and maintain the NAV tracker to ensure that inbound and outbound information is actioned in a timely manner, and where required escalated internally or with external parties, to ensure that NAV applications are efficiently processed and key milestones are met.
  • Act as the key point of contact, supporting customers (SLP’s/ICP’s) with all NAV application queries or questions
  • Liaise with incumbent water companies and industry regulators (such as Ofwat) to ensure RFIs are promptly and effectively dealt with and that applications are progressed so as to meet key milestones and be compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that information and documents relating to NAV site development is provided/obtained and recorded according to key KPIs
  • Be responsible for team email account(s) relating to NAV site developments; respond to incoming emails and be responsible for forwarding and monitoring inbound communication
  • Complete the NAV application documentation ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Produce KPI and MI reports for the Water Management team, the Executive team and Company Board as required.
  • Support and collaborate with colleagues within the I&C Delivery Team to provide additional resilience to the management and fulfilment of the NAV application process.
  • Support and collaborate with colleagues within the I&C Delivery Team with regards to the wider responsibilities of the team, as may be required

Experience

  • As the Water Programme Co-ordinator the following skills and experience is essential:
  • You will have coordinated multiple internal and external stakeholder requirements and inputs in a fast-paced environment to ensure project and programme outcomes are delivered.
  • You will have strong working knowledge and skills in using tracking documents to maintain visibility and transparency for all stakeholders.
  • You will have successfully supported multiple tasks and stakeholders, dealing with competing demands for time and attention and working to tight deadlines.
  • You will have proven strong engagement, facilitation and communication skills and be comfortable with questioning of information where needed.
  • You will have the ability to effectively identify, map and engage with stakeholders, including to brief upwards to senior management of Risks and Project flows.
  • You will be adaptable to changing circumstances, uncertainty and ambiguous or adverse situations whilst remaining calm and maintaining performance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
  • Proven IT skills, ability to demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Demonstrable water industry background is desirable for this role although experience obtained in a similar industry (utilities or construction) may be considered. It is important that you can demonstrate the ability to scrutinise plans, test assumptions and identify delivery risks and issues and to react accordingly.
