Water Quality Service Technician

Job Description: Water Quality Service Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain water treatment and chemical dosing equipment.
  • Conduct microbiological and chemical sampling of water systems.
  • Regular inspections of the physical plant and closed system analysis.
  • Follow a preventative maintenance program and make recommendations for repairs.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure their requirements are met.

Base and Area of Work:

  • Based from home with flexible work hours.
  • Travel across different customer sites most days, potentially requiring overnight stays.

Salary and Benefits:

  • 25,000 - 35,000 per annum (dependent on experience/training).
  • Bonus scheme, company pension, and sick pay.
  • Company vehicle for work and personal use if applicable.
  • Smart mobile phone, laptop, and/or tablet computer.
  • All workwear, personal protective equipment, and related training provided.

Working Hours and Holidays:

  • Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm (project-dependent).
  • Statutory holidays with additional days based on years of service.

Qualifications and Training:

  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • No formal qualifications or water hygiene industry experience necessary; comprehensive training provided.

Important Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence and minimum 12 months driving experience.
  • Ability to pass a full government enhanced security clearance check.
  • Permanent UK resident.
  • Ability to work from home with a quiet and focused environment.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, occasionally requiring overnight stays.
