CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, are recruiting Water Treatment Engineers to join the team located in London.
Key Responsibilities
- To attend and complete reactive Mechanical and Plumbing works within their Service Level Agreements for Attendance, Response and Completion
- Responsible for maintaining mechanical installations, repairs and maintenance to M&E Plant and Building Fabric
- Completing Planned Maintenance in line with SFG20 and HTM Guidelines
- Complete proactive inspections, remedial repairs and installations
- To provide support to the wider CBRE Engineering Day Team in the event of an emergency call
- To support in providing cost information for chargeable Mechanical and Plumbing works on site
- To provide updates to the Helpdesk Co-ordinator on a regular basis to ensure the CAFM System is up to date
- Carry out daily checks of plant rooms and equipment
- Attend training scheduled by the Management Team (E-Learning and role/site specific courses)
- Provide regular hazard reporting for the site on a weekly basis
Demonstrable experience within a similar role- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels of seniority
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing/Heating or equivalent
- Legionella Awareness Training
- Qualifications related to Steam and Pressure Systems advantageous
- Demonstrate knowledge of L8 Compliance
- Diligent and pro-active
- Ability to prioritise and act on own initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- A flexible approach to work with a willingness to travel would be essential.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of two years of related experience and/or trade school training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred. Valid Driver License may be required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
