Job Title: Web Developer
Location: Blackpool/Poulton-Le-Fylde - office based
Starting Salary: £28,000 – £30,000, review after 3 months + yearly pay review.
Are you a skilled and experienced Web Developer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects? We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Web Developer.
We utilise the Levy scheme, meaning you could get a College / University degree in IT paid for by the company! Courses range from level 3 to level 6 (Bachelor’s degree).
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, marketers, and project managers to develop/maintain dynamic and interactive websites and web applications.
· Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern web development technologies and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React/Vue/Angular.
· Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal performance and usability across various devices and screen sizes.
· Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the reliability and functionality of web solutions.
· Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in web development to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of our projects.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Web Developer with a portfolio showcasing your technical skills and projects you've worked on.
· Proficiency in front-end and/or back-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, or similar.
· Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and best practices for collaborative development workflows.
· Solid understanding of web standards and protocols, including accessibility, security, and performance optimization.
· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse requirements and implement effective solutions.
Desired Skills:
· Experience with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
· Knowledge of database management systems and SQL databases.
· Familiarity with server-side languages and frameworks such as Express.js, Django, Flask, or Laravel.
· Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.
· Understanding of web design principles and collaboration with designers to translate visual concepts into functional interfaces.
Advantageous skills to have but notessential:
· SEO Expertise: The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles and techniques to enhance website visibility and ranking on search engine results pages.
· PPC Knowledge: Proficiency in Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising strategies and implementation to drive targeted traffic to websites is essential.
· Print-Based Advertising Proficiency: Ability to design and create engaging print-based advertising materials such as brochures, flyers, and posters to complement digital marketing efforts.
· CSS Mastery: Solid proficiency in Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to create visually appealing and user-friendly web interfaces.
