Job Suitability - Hours, Shift Regularity etc.

Given the nature of the job, which involves working with animals and weddings, shifts typically arise on an ad-hoc basis, particularly during the peak wedding season from April to October. Keeping this in mind, this position may not be suitable for someone seeking full-time regular hours, but rather for those looking for supplemental income, part-time work, or flexible arrangements.

Typically, the shortest shifts last around 5 to 6 hours and encompass tasks such as pre-Wedding Dog walks, grooming, transportation to and from the venue, and various wedding-related duties.

On the other hand, longer shifts can extend up to 13 hours, starting from 11 am and concluding at midnight. These extended shifts involve chaperoning duties, including pre-wedding walks, grooming, and pet sitting until the end of the evening.

In addition, there are opportunities for overnight stays at Airbnb accommodations or client homes. It's important to note that engaging in these stays is entirely optional, and you have the flexibility to choose whether or not to participate.

You have full control over your availability and preferred shifts. Assignments can either be directly assigned to team members based on their availability and preferences, or shifts can be made available through our app for individuals to claim. This flexibility allows you to decide how much or how little you would like to work.

In summary, this role offers the opportunity for part-time, casual, and flexible work hours, providing you with the freedom to choose shifts that suit your needs.

Additional Information

Most wedding day chaperone positions are performed on weekends (Fri-Sun), with some weekday assignments. Punctuality, high work ethics, and professionalism are highly valued in our team. We are a family-oriented business and aim to provide an enjoyable experience for both pets and their owners.

Pay is dependant on experience. DOE.
