Hours: Casual hours over a weekend inc late finishes (Midnight). Availability on a Friday as well as a Saturday is desirable

The Job : The Northorpe Barn is a beautiful 17th Century barn hosting weddings and events throughout the year. We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and confident Waiting Staff to join our fantastic team.
Tasks : You will be working at events for up to 130 guests, duties will include:-
- Helping to set up and breakdown the barn, including lifting furniture in and out of storage
- Food Service tasks for a variety of food options inc 3 course meals, hog roasts, buffets, afternoon tea etc
- Some basic food preparation tasks (depending on experience)
- Clearing tasks inc washing up, kitchen cleaning and general upkeep of the barn to maintain a high level of cleanliness
- Working with other team members and suppliers to maintain positive working relationships
- Greeting and responding to guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Performing other duties as assigned
You will have:
- A positive can do attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience of positive working relationships
- Teamwork skills
- Some experience of food service
- Ideally some experience of food preparation
- An outgoing and engaging personality
- The ability to work flexibly
The role is physically demanding, applicants will need to be able to move furniture as well as take part in food service and cleaning duties.
The Northorpe Barn is part of Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust. All proceeds from the events that we hold go directly into the charity to support the mental health and well being of local children and their families.
