Weekend Animal Rescue Officer

The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s only all animal emergency service, is seeking to recruit Weekend Animal Rescue Officers based in Edinburgh and covering the surrounding areas. These are fixed term positions until 31st December 2024.

The successful applicant will have practical experience of working with animals, a keen interest in animal welfare and excellent customer care skills. In addition, a good geographical knowledge of the area or the ability to attain this quickly is essential. Candidates must also have a full UK manual driving licence.

The positions will be working alternate weekends, 15 hours per fortnight within a group rota between the hours of 7.30am and 11pm. There will be a requirement to cover for the other Weekend Animal Rescue Officer and to occasionally work additional hours to cover for sickness and holidays.
