Rare opportunity to work in a care role for a well established, award winning, ‘Good/Silver’ rated family run Residential Care Home est. 1985.
Radnor House is a leading care provider of specialist residential care for adults in recovery of mental illness. The role available is a part time 16hrs Weekend Care Assistant. Please note we also have a full time Care Assistant 40hrs position available.
Duties will include (not an exhaustive list)
Assist at meal times - in the kitchen and serving times
Attend to personal care needs - washing, dressing etc.
Consult diary daily and get residents ready for appointments
Monitor meal charts
Complete electronic daily recordings
Support and administer medication
Read and stay up to date on care plans, acquiring an excellent understanding of the residents and their needs.
Liaise with various professionals
Record Keeping - Confident using IT and using electronic recording for care notes and medication.
Maintaining a clean, homely environment in the home.

Experience in caring role and/or working with vulnerable people - Essential
NVQ Level 2 Minimum or equivalent - Essential
Maths and English Essential
Good IT skills - Essential
Experience working with individuals with a mental illness - desirable
Candidate needs to be flexible, adaptable, use initiative and have high energy to fulfil this multifaceted role.
Able to work well within a team and on a individual basis.
Caring, person-centred, compassionate, empathic, committed, excellent communication skills, patient and quick learner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £11.44 per hour
