It's not often the words ‘chef’ and ‘social life’ go together, but this time they do. With this chef job you will not work evenings and will not be under heavy pressure and stress.
You'll work 15 hours, Saturday and Sunday on a 9 month fixed term contract. You will join the kitchen team at Cotswold Spa - a specialist eating disorder service for young people - where you'll prepare and cook a range of meals for patients, which will include specialist foods aligned to their treatment programmes, and also for staff and visitors.
It’s a calm and pleasurable working environment where you'll maintain a clean and safe working environment, and assist with deliveries. You’ll be able to manage your workload and develop your career, with a great social aspect where you can interact with people outside the kitchen regularly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and cook meals to a high standard
- Maintain storage procedures and stock rotation
- Comply with Health & Safety legislation maintaining a high standard of hygiene and adhering to cleaning schedules.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) Basic Food Preparation Cooking
- Basic Food Hygiene (essential)
- Good communication skills and the ability to cope under pressure
- Experience and knowledge in menu planning and costing
- GCSE or equivalent English
- A comprehensive level of numeracy
- Flexibility - hours to be discussed to cover weekdays and weekends
