DUTY WORKER (WEEKENDS), YOUNG PARENT ACCOMMODATION SERVICE, NOTTIGHAM, PERMANENT, 15 HPW, FRW06 £21,153 - £23,430 FTE (PRO-RATED RATE OF PAY £8,575.54 - £9,498.70)
The Young Parent Service provides accommodation and housing related support for young women aged 16 to 21 who are pregnant or who have young children. The accommodation is situated in self-contained flats in Colwick, Nottingham. Residents are expected to participate in support planning to boost their skills and confidence and engage in a resettlement program.
Staff assist service users in finding appropriate move-on accommodation and equipping them with the skills needed for independent living.
We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic candidates with an understanding of safeguarding and a desire to work with vulnerable young women and children. Experience of working in an accommodation setting or similar environment is not necessary but preferable.
The main functions of the role are;
- To build the skills and confidence of service users to empower them in maximising their independence, including parenting skills.
- To contribute to the achievement of contractual service obligations
- To work in partnership with key stakeholders
- To take responsibility for the welfare of the service users and children on site
- To assist service users in moving on into settled accommodation.
The role is for weekend work - Saturdays and Sundays. The role requires a degree of flexibility in relation to working hours.
